RV Jensen Congratulates TotalEnergies for Their 100th Anniversary

We congratulate TotalEnergies for their 100th Anniversary!

TotalEnergies is celebrating by increasing and updating signage with their new branding. They are giving a shout-out of gratitude to all of their loyal customers, in addition to their dedicated employees who have contributed to their success over the many decades.

Their history demonstrates their success:

  • In 1924, by an initiative from the French government, CFP (later to become TotalEnergies) launched as a private company created to build a national oil policy. To support the efforts of World War II, CFP looked into developing alternative fuels to combat fuel shortages through 1945.
  • With an intention to expand internationally, CFP became the Total brand in 1954, discovering oil and gas reserves throughout the world over the decades, and by 1989, they began to explore new environmental methods of refining.
  • Fast forward to the 21st Century, and Total became a game-changer in clean, environmentally responsible energy. In 2011, they became involved in developing and operating large-scale solar farms. In 2017 and 2018, Total acquired hydro-power and renewable energy companies, and in 2020 announced their mission to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 for all their global activities.
  • In 2021, Total rebranded as TotalEnergies, with the goal of spearheading energy transition throughout the world.
